Hello there, I’m Tanmaya!
I’m a product designer passionate about solving problems for people — by creating intuitive, human-centered experiences that engage and empower users.
I recently graduated with a Masters in Information Experience Design (HCI) from Pratt Institute in New York. With a strong design foundation in architecture, I’m a systematic thinker who can strategize across design, engineering, business, and user needs.
I’m always open to learning, collaborating and exploring new opportunities. Feel free to reach out and let’s chat!
Previously
Having traveled extensively since my childhood, I’ve lived in 13+ cities, which has opened me up to different cultures and sparked my love for art, design, and people.
With 7 years in the design world, I began with an undergraduate degree in Architectural Design, focusing on crafting spaces that foster engaging human experiences. As I explored the intricacies of physical environments, my curiosity about how people interact with these spaces grew. This growing curiosity, combined with my love for design and technology, led me to UX design.
My experience has equipped me with the ability to empathize with users, ensure precision in design elements and balance functionality with aesthetics —skills that have proven invaluable in my UX work.
Beyond Design
I love going on hikes and exploring new trails when I get out of the city.
I’m a huge foodie and love baking — my friends say that the banana crumble muffins I make are out of this world!
I love to sketch and paint—you can find me wandering through the city with my sketchbook or doodling by my window.
I love traveling, immersing myself in new cultures, and trying different cuisines. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited are Bali, Indonesia and Jungfrau, Switzerland.
